New Braun study highlights local differences
Istanbul, Turkey, 12 September 2011 – By the year 2025, the American Heart Association estimates more than 1.5 billion people, or nearly one in three adults over the age of 25, will have high blood pressure or hypertension. According to a new study commissioned by Kaz Europe, the manufacturer of Braun blood pressure monitors under a license to the ‘Braun’ trademark, Turkish people are aware of the health values, which give a life saving preview of cardiac risk. However less than half regularly monitor their blood pressure, which varies depending on the region.

New European study shows almost half the Dutch population falsely believes high blood pressure can be cured.
Switzerland, 12 September 2011 – High blood pressure or hypertension is the biggest single risk factor for heart disease and stroke and currently affects 1.5 billion people worldwide . According to a new study commissioned by Kaz Europe, the manufacturer of Braun blood pressure monitors under a license to the ‘Braun’ trademark, the Dutch population believes more should be done to educate them about the risks associated with high blood pressure. Most of the Dutch people surveyed believe they are not at risk of hypertension since there are no obvious symptoms and almost half falsely believe high blood pressure can be cured.

New European study shows 67.2% of Germans are not monitoring their blood pressure because they don’t show any symptoms and do not feel concerned.
